Spring 2018:

Mikayla Harshman:

Mikayla Harshman is 21 years old. She is a History major and Art History minor at Radford University. She has experience with genealogy and transcribing documents from working with her mother, a genealogist, throughout the majority of her life. She was one of the original students who started this project during the Fall 2016 semester.  Her plans are to obtain a Master’s degree in American History, and pursue a career in museums or historic sites. Mikayla graduates from Radford University on May 5th, 2018.

Adam Thompson:

Adam is 22 years old and a History Major and Appalachia Studies Minor at Radford University. He is planning to graduate in Spring of 2018. He is currently working at Hungry Mother State Park. His plan immediately after graduation is to work in the Park Ranger Career Development Internships in the Virginia State Park System. The main goal for Adam is to become a Park Ranger in either the Virginia State Park System or the National Park System.

Mason Mowbray:

Mason is 21 years old History major at Radford University. He is planning to graduate in Spring of 2019. His plan is to obtain a Ph.D. in American History and pursue a career in academia.

Corbin Morse:

Corbin is 22 years old and majoring in History at Radford University. He is planning to graduate next spring. Upon graduation, he hopes to enlist in the United States Coast Guard.

Taylor Frasure:

Taylor Frasure is a History and Social Science double major at Radford University, she is planning to graduate in fall of 2018. She wishes to gain a Ph.D in Russian History with the hope to one day teach.

Kate Sundie:

Kate is 19 years old and a History and Media Studies double major at Radford University. She is planning to graduate in Spring of 2020. Her plan is to obtain a Ph.D. in European History and pursue a career in academia.

Alex Christie:

Fall 2017:

Austin Perrin:

Austin is a 22 year old History Major at Radford University. He plans to graduate in spring 2018. He plans on obtaining a masters degree in museum sciences to further his career and education. After graduate school he plans start a career as a museum curator.

Spring 2017:

Alexander Davis:

Alexander is a 21 years old History major at Radford University. He hopes to graduate and after that to carve out a future as a writer. After graduating from Radford University, he has high hopes of going to graduate school to further his academic career in History.

Jack Blalock:

Jack is a 24 years old History Major at Radford University. He ultimately plans to obtain a Master’s Degree in Library Science. He lives with his fiancée and their house full of pets in Narrows, Virginia.

Taylor Quesenberry:

Taylor is double a major in History and Philosophy & Religious Studies. He will be doing an internship with the Botetourt County Courthouse during the summer of 2017 in order to continue the work of transcribing and preserving the collection. He will be applying to law schools in the fall, with the ultimate goal of working in a law library.

Luke Kelly:

Luke is a History Major at Radford University and a member of the RU Honors Academy. He will be graduating as a Highlander Scholar in May 2017 and plans to pursue a Master’s in Public History.

Megan Maddy:

Megan is graduating this spring with her Bachelor’s in Interdisciplinary Studies. She works full time at a Montessori School in Roanoke. Megan has taken this course two semesters in a row because she loves the challenge of deciphering old documents and Dr. Hepburn is the best professor here at Radford.  🙂
